SFNL MRP & Tribunal Statement 30/04/2019

The SFNL advises that the Match Review Panel (MRP) and Independent Tribunal have completed their review of the weekend’s football:

 

Set Penalties

Kale Pryor #9 of St Pauls was cited by the officiating umpire for intentionally or carelessly engaging in rough conduct against Adam Capiron #43 of St Kilda City during the 3rd quarter of the Round 3 Division 1 Senior Match between St Pauls and St Kilda City at McKinnon Reserve on Saturday 27 April 2019. Kale was offered a one (1) match set penalty which was accepted.

 

Brenton Cowell #24 of Lyndale was cited by the MRP for Instigating a melee and attempting to strike during the 3rd quarter of the Round 3 Senior Division 4 Match between Lyndhurst and Lyndale at Marriott Waters Reserve on Saturday 27 April 2019. The MRP determined that Brenton had no case to answer and withdrew the reports.

 

Tribunal Hearing #201907

Gerard Imbriano #39 of Clayton was reported by the officiating field umpire for intentionally or carelessly striking Nick Anderson of Endeavour Hills during the 4th quarter of the Round 3 Division 3 Senior Match between Clayton and Endeavour Hills at Meade Reserve on Thursday 25 April 2019. Gerard pleaded not-guilty at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 30 April 2019 and was found not-guilty. Gerard received no suspension and is free to play.

 

Tribunal Hearing #201908

Phil Kurth #4 of Clayton was cited by the MRP for intentionally engaging in rough conduct against Nathan Strom #8 of Endeavour Hills during the 3rd quarter of the Round 3 Division 3 Senior Match between Clayton and Endeavour Hills at Meade Reserve on Thursday 25 April 2019.The case was sent directly to the Independent Tribunal. Phil pleaded not-guilty at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 30 April 2019 and was found guilty and received a four (4) match suspension.

 

Tribunal Hearing #201909

Danny Hartley #37 of Lyndale was reported by the officiating field umpires for intentionally or carelessly kneeing Aaron Browning #76 of Lyndhurst during the 3rd quarter of the Round 3 Senior Division 4 Match between Lyndhurst and Lyndale at Marriott Waters Reserve on Saturday 27 April 2019. Danny pleaded not-guilty at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 30 April 2019 and was found guilty and received a one (1) match suspension.

 

Tribunal Hearing #201910

Brodie Kiss #3 of Lyndhurst was cited by the MRP for making forceful contact to the head of Brenton Miles #8 of Lyndale during the 3rd quarter of the Round 3 Senior Division 4 Match between Lyndhurst and Lyndale at Marriott Waters Reserve on Saturday 27 April 2019. The MRP offered Brodie a set penalty of one (1) match. Brodie contested the charge at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 30 April 2019 and pleaded not-guilty and was found not-guilty. Brodie received no suspension and is free to play.

 

Tribunal Hearing #201911

Christopher Deluca #4 of the Port Melbourne Colts was cited by the MRP for intentionally or carelessly engaging in rough conduct against Mark Tyrell #2 of East Malvern during the 3rd quarter of the Round 3 Senior Division 1 Match between East Malvern and Port Melbourne Colts at Dunlop Reserve on Saturday 27 April 2019. The MRP offered Christopher a set penalty of two (2) matches. Christopher contested the charge at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 30 April 2019 and pleaded not-guilty and was found not-guilty. Christopher received no suspension and is free to play.
