SFNL Women's Round Returns for 2026

The Southern Football Netball League's Women's Round returns on Saturday, July 4, with three clubs set to host a full day of football as the league celebrates the continued growth of the women's game.

Following the success of last year's inaugural event, the 2026 edition will once again put the spotlight firmly on women's football, with matches from Women's Divisions 1, 2 and 3 showcased across three host venues: Greaves Reserve, Peanut Farm Reserve and Straithaird Reserve creating three showcase hubs and a true celebration of the women's game.

Supporters will have the opportunity to watch teams from across all three divisions throughout the day, bringing together clubs, players and communities from right across the SFNL. With multiple matches at each venue, spectators can enjoy a full afternoon of football, creating a vibrant atmosphere and giving players the opportunity to perform in front of larger crowds.

Women's football continues to go from strength to strength across the SFNL. Participation numbers continue to rise, standards continue to improve, and clubs throughout the league continue to invest heavily in developing female football programs.

The Women's Round is an opportunity to recognise that growth while shining a spotlight on the players, coaches, volunteers and supporters who have helped build the competition into what it is today.

Importantly, the day is also about inspiring the next generation. Young girls attending the round will have the chance to see female footballers competing at a high standard and experience firsthand the opportunities available within community football.

From the opening bounce to the final siren, Women's Round promises great action, strong community spirit and a showcase of the talent that continues to drive women's football forward in the Southern Football Netball League.

Whether you're supporting your own club or simply looking to enjoy a day of local football, the SFNL encourages everyone to get along and be part of one of the standout events of the 2026 season.

Three venues. Three divisions. One celebration of women's football.
