Southern Football Netball League Chief Executive Officer Mike Palmer has thanked all of the clubs that submitted tender documents for participation as a host club for the 2018 SFNL Finals Series.

“We are pleased to announce our host clubs and once again this year all of the clubs that submitted a tender have been successful in securing hosting rights for SFNL finals matches in 2018,” Mr Palmer said.

“The quality of the tenders was again very high as clubs have become used to participating in the process. Each of our nominated clubs have good facilities and will be excellent finals host.”

“We find ourselves in a season where there is significant competition for places in the finals and ultimately for a premiership and we feel that with the good work of our host clubs we will a have a spectacular finals series across all division”.

“We thank each of the clubs for their efforts during the tender process and we look forward to a brilliant SFNL Finals Series in 2018.”

For the second year in a row, all six clubs that submitted tenders were successful in securing hosting rights for 2018 finals matches.

The restructure of divisions in 2018 will also see a change in finals structure for certain competitions. Division 1 and Division 2 will continue with the familiar final five system for 2018, while the eight-team Division 3 and Division 4 competitions will revert to a final four played over three weeks. The Women's Division 1 and Division 2 will feature a final five and final six respectively, with both finals series to run over three weeks.
