RETURN TO TRAINING - FOOTBALL AND NETBALL

As advised, AFL Victoria have released the “return to train” date as Monday May 25, Netball Victoria have also released their “return to train” as Thursday May 21

There are several Steps to complete before both sports can return to train as per below,

Football

  • Please see attached the protocols issued from AFL Victoria. Please read and understand these carefully, please share this with your committee and coaches, following are requirements from a league point of view


o AT LEAST ONE COVID SAFE OFFICER, Nominated Club official(s) has undertaken the Australian Government online COVID-19 Infection Control Training and submitted a certificate of completion to the SFNL prior to recommencement of Club activity.
o The form attached for the register of club trained officials must be sent (For Football) to Luke Henry luke.henry@sfnl.com.au
o Each individual that watches the video from each clubs (minimum 1 from Football and Netball) must email their certificate of completion to Luke Henry also to match up with the register sent
o You must brief your participants and coaches as per the document
o The link to the officer training is a live link in the protocols attachment, it takes about 15 mins to complete

  • Each training session must have all participants recorded on the attached template

  • Your local council will receive the football protocols today also, we are talking with them to make sure they understand them and answer any questions they have, please note that they must give the all clear to use their ovals and facilities


Netball

  • As you may be aware Netball Victoria released their “return to train” protocols last night in this link https://vic.netball.com.au/covid-19-information

  • However as we are football netball league we require the following to be completed for Netball also


o AT LEAST ONE COVID SAFE OFFICER, Nominated Club official(s) has undertaken the Australian Government online COVID-19 Infection Control Training and submitted a certificate of completion to the SFNL prior to recommencement of Club activity.
o The form attached for the register of club trained officials must be sent (For Netball) to Sue Kimber sue.kimber@sfnl.com.au
o Each individual that watches the video from each clubs (minimum 1 from Football and Netball) must email their certificate of completion to Sue Kimber also to match up with the register sent
o The link to the officer training is a live link in the protocols attachment, it takes about 15 mins to complete

  • Your local council also have to give the green light for netball courts, whether you have your own courts or train at a shared community facility and being outdoors only


Please be aware that some of the protocols for clubs and council approval may take longer than the announced dates, so please be patient and work through the process
