Hawks Soar into SLC Grand Final

Hallam will take on Bentleigh in the inaugural Seymour Law Cup Grand Final next Wednesday after their 45-point triumph over Carrum Patterson Lakes last night.

After an opening term stalemate, the Hawks seized control of the game with the aid of the strong breeze in the second term. Their four unanswered major opened up a 26-point advantage at the main interval.

The Lions rallied in the third, but Hallam had all the answers and held them at arm's length to run out comfortable winner and continue their unbeaten run in the preseason tournament.

IN the early game, Lyndhurst overcame a slow start to defeat Dandenong by 64 points.

The Redlegs made positive early inroads, putting through 2.0 in the first term to take a six-point buffer into quarter time. However, it quickly in unraveled quickly, as the dominant Lightning held them to just one solitary behind for the remainder of the match.

Lyndhurst had no such scoring issues, booting 11 goals after the first break to romp to their second win of the Seymour Law Cup.
