In a terrific initiative, Hallam and Lyndale will tomorrow honour the memory of the late Paul Thomas with a men's and women's triple header at Hallam Reserve.
Thomas was a former Super Rules player and valued member of the Hallam Football Club, while his children, Shane, Michelle and Hayley, are also former Hawks players that currently play at Lyndale.
A trophy has been named in honour of Thomas, with the winner of the Senior Men's match to take home the inaugural Paul Thomas Cup.
Medals will also be presented by Thomas' wife to the players ajudged best afield in both the Women's and Senior Men's matches.
The Women's match will kick off the day's proceedings at 9:30am, with the Reserves (12:00pm) and Seniors (2:15pm) to follow.
The Paul Thomas Cup also coincides with Hallam's Past Players Day, with a massive crowd expected down at Frawley Road.
Congratulations to both clubs for launching this great initiative.
