Southern Football Netball League secures its League headquarters until at least 2042

In an historic day, the Southern FNL has officially signed a lease agreement with the St Kilda FC AFL Club to secure the league’s home base at RSEA Park, Moorabbin well into the future.

This will ensure that the SFNL’s Administration offices as well as its division 1 football finals will be held at the pre-eminent facility in Australia for community football finals, RSEA Park until the end of 2042.

In a tripart tenancy agreement between the SFNL, City of Kingston and the St Kilda AFL Football Club, SFNL CEO Lee Hartman, said “this is a great result for our League and our Member clubs, to lock away the community administration offices and the venue for finals well into the future. This project has been over 10 years in the making, and to see the agreement signed is a great endorsement of the working relationship that we have with the Saints”

St Kilda FC CEO Carl Dilena added “St Kilda Football Club is proud to continue our long-standing partnership with the Southern Football Netball League”.

“RSEA Park has become a true hub for community football in Melbourne’s south-east, and we’re delighted the SFNL will continue to call it home into the future”.

“The Saints and the SFNL have fostered a strong relationship over many years and we look forward to continuing to work together to support community football and netball across the region.”

The signing of the agreement also includes a provision for the lease to be extended another 25 years upon its expiration.
