Highett vs Endeavour Hills

 V

Endeavour Hills travels to Turner Road on Friday night to take on a Highett side still chasing their maiden win. The Falcons will enter this clash in terrific form, having upset East Brighton and put in a creditable performance against Oakleigh District in consecutive weeks. But don’t write off the Bulldogs, who have not stopped trying all season, and no doubt their breakthrough victory is just around the corner.

Mordialloc vs Oakleigh District

 V

The Bloods will relish the opportunity to atone for its disappointing loss last week at the hands of the Vampires last week and continue its campaign for a finals berth. However, it faces a tough task against an Oakleigh District side that has dropped just one game for the year and looks all but assured of a second-place finish. While the Districts will start favourites, if Mordi brings its best footy it could cause an upset on their home deck.

Bentleigh vs East Brighton

 V

A confidence-boosting win over Lyndale has put Bentleigh in the box seat for a Division 1 finals berth, and they will look to carry over their good form into this week’s clash with East Brighton. The Vampires were supreme in their clinical victory over Mordi last Friday night, and may prove a tough assignment for the Demons.

Lyndale vs Murrumbeena

 V

Following back-to-back losses against two finals-bound sides, the Pumas this week face the toughest assignment possible in Murrumbeena, who will be well rested after their unexpected week off. Lyndale have shown this season that they belong at Division 1 level, and while they may not yet be good enough to knock over the Beena, expect to see a vastly improved performance from their previous loss to them back in Round 3.

Chelsea Heights vs Clayton

 V

Clayton will hope to continue the form they’ve had in recent weeks when they take on the underdogs in Chelsea Heights on Friday night. But not to be written off, Chelsea Heights got a taste of being competitive last week having lost to South Yarra by just two points and will go into this match with plenty of confidence.

Lyndhurst vs South Yarra

 V

Lyndhurst need to win this week if they are a chance to reclaim top spot on the ladder. After just escaping with the four points against Chelsea Heights last week, South Yarra will be keen to make an impression and get a win that would surprise the competition, but it is not completely out of the question.

Port Melbourne Colts vs Murrumbeena

 V

Murrumbeena need the win this week to hold off Clayton who are biting at the heels of the top four. While they are expected to get the four points, Port Melbourne are not to be underestimated and have had some good wins so far this year, despite the low number of those.

Frankston Dolphins vs Doveton Eagles

 V

The match to watch this round, as two teams who are keen to cement their place in the finals with just five games to go, go head-to-head. Frankston would be feeling pretty safe at this point, however the fight to stay in the top four is being increasingly challenged with Clayton’s recent form, so Doveton will be really needing this win.
