The AFL has just released its video advert for the inaugural AFLW season, which begins next month.
The advert pays homage to the AFL's classic "I'd like to see that!" advertising campaign from 1994, and features several prominent female athletes including Olympic legend Cathy Freeman, Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne and rising surfing star Sabre Norris.

Traditional rivals Carlton and Collingwood will make history when they clash in the first ever AFLW game at Ikon Park on Friday 3rd February. The match, originally scheduled as a Magpies home game at Olympic Park, was shifted across the larger Blues' venue to handle the expected bumper crowd.
