In 2026, the Saints showed during the season that they could challenge some of the competition's leading sides, and would finish the home and away season playing finals football.
The team produced several encouraging performances, including a memorable fightback against St John's OC where they trailed 44–9 at quarter-time and were still 24 points behind at the final change. Rather than letting the game slip away, they produced a remarkable final quarter, kicking 4.3 while restricting their opponents to just three points to secure a 75–75 draw.
Narre South's season would take them to the Division 4 finals, giving the playing group an opportunity to test itself in the pressure of knockout football.
The Saints faced Clayton in and Elimination Final, coming out 4 points victors which led to a Semi Final appearance against Ashwood. Ashwood ultimately defeated the Saints, however the finals experience provided a benchmark for the work required to take the next step in their development.
The Saints will head into the off-season with plenty to reflect on from their 2026 campaign. The next step is to build on the experience gained throughout 2026 and turn its competitive performances into a sustained challenge for premiership glory.
