After being relegated from Division 2 in 2025,
Endeavour Hills entered the 2026 Southern Football Netball League Division 3 season with ambitions of challenging for a finals berth.
After a challenging start to the season, where the Falcons would start 1-4 through their first 5 games. However they'd fight back to be 5-7 by round 12, which included an incredible 1 point win over eventual premiers Heatherton in round 6 to leave the door open to make a finals appearance in 2026.
Unfortunately, that's the last point of the season where it would look like they could play finals. Losing 4 straight from rounds 13-16 would leave them too far out of the finals race, and even though they won their last 2 games they would finish comfortably outside the top 5.
The Falcons showed they were capable of producing competitive football in Division 3, but translating those performances into sustained results was the challenge.
Finishing seventh will be disappointing for a playing group that would have entered the season hoping to feature in September. Nevertheless, the experience provides a clear benchmark for the improvements required ahead of next season.
