Super Samason Joins Vixens

Huge congratulations to Heatherton superstar Rahni Samason, who is one of four netballers chosen by the Melbourne Vixens as a Training Partner for the 2018 Super Netball season.

Super Netball clubs are required to nominate a minimum of four athletes as Training Partners, with those four athletes protected as Temporary Replacement athletes.

This is latest in a long line of achievements for Samason, who has been a member of Australian Netball League team Victorian Fury in 2017 and was appointed Vice Captain of the 2017 Victorian 19/U team at the National Championships. She has been selected in the Australian 19/U Squad for the last two years.

A tall and deadly-accurate goal shooter, Samason tied for last year’s Division 1 Best & Fairest and helped the Tonners claim the 2016 Division 1 premiership. She currently leads the 2017 Div 1 leading goalshooter table with 324 goals.

In addition to her training commitments with the Vixens, Samason will continue to represent the Fury in the ANL.

Way to go Rahni, and no doubt we will see you as the starting GS for the Vixens in the near future!
