Heighters Building For 2019

It has been a busy month down at Beazley Reserve, with a new coach and a swag of returning stars set to bolster Chelsea Heights as they prepare to atone for a disappointing 2018 campaign.

Last month the Heighters appointed Terry Brennan as its senior coach for 2019, replacing premiership coach Brad Canavan.

Canavan left the club at the end of the season to take the reins at Somerville.

While the job is Brennan's first senior coaching appointment, he has had a long involvement in local footy over the years in a multitude of capacities including assistant coach, reserves coach and chairman of selectors.

Meanwhile, the club has also announced the return of former captain Jayden Attard, who rejoins the club after stints at Chelsea (MPNFL) and Toora (Alberton FNL).

Attard played five seasons at the Heighters between 2009 and 2013 following a 25-game AFL career with the Brisbane Lions and St Kilda, and his inclusion is a massive on-field coup for the club.

The Heighters also welcome back Patrick Morrissey, Tyler Cantwell and Jarryd Uren after the trio sat out the 2018 season.

Former skipper Jayden Attard and newly-appointed senior coach Terry Brennan headline the signings at Chelsea Heights.
