Todd Bastion – Mordialloc Football Club
Although Bastion was serviceable in the first half, his work after the long break was simply extraordinary. He was unstoppable around the stoppages, winning clearance after clearance and bombing the ball into attack again and again. Although the team had a plethora of contributors, the skipper led from the front, kicking a crucial final-term goal and helping inspire his side to their remarkable turnaround from 48 points down in the Preliminary Final.
