Steve Barnes is a man that lives and breathes grassroots footy.
A premiership captain/coach and Best and Fairest winner with Murrumbeena, Barnes has served the SFNL in roles as a board member, Interleague coach and Sunday radio show host. More recently, Barnes was instrumental in the introduction of the Carrum Patterson Lakes Football Club to the competition in 2013 and in his role as President has ensured the fledgling club has remained highly competitive on the field.
Ian Dougherty caught up with the Hall of Fame inductee to find out a little bit more about the man who has contributed so much to the Southern Football Netball League.
