The Springvale Districts Football Club have announced Danny Rout as their Senior Coach for 2016.
A very well respected footballer for many years, Rout played almost 250 games of senior footy at Hampton Park. He played in back to back premierships in 1997-1998 and was recently honored with life membership of the club.
Rout moved on from Hampton Park to take on playing assistant coaching roles at Coolangatta and Emerald where he helped coach the side from wooden spooners in 2010 to a premiership in the following year.
After his success at Emerald he returned to Hampton Park where he took on the role as Reserves Coach in 2014-2015.
Rout was appointed to the Senior Coaching role at Springvale Districts after an exhaustive interview process and the club believes he is the right man to lead the Demons as they look to make their way back into the Division 2 finals in 2016.
