The South Yarra Football Club Executive Committee are proud to announce the appointment of Darren “Daisy” Stegehuis as the Senior Football Coach (non-playing) for season 2016.
Daisy comes to the club with a wealth of coaching and football experience, including playing in excess of 150 games over 15 years for the Silvan Football Club and winning five club Best & Fairest awards.
His coaching career to date includes two years as a playing-coach for Silvan seniors and three seasons as a playing-coach for Silvan reserves. He coached Silvan Under 19s in 2008 and has a further 10 years experience coaching junior football in the under 15s and under 17s.
The Executive Committee are confident that Daisy will bring instant improvement to the Senior playing group with his intended changes in structure and culture.
Daisy was seen at a few of the Yarras’ games in 2015 and is the father of current player, Scott.
