The Southern Football Netball League's Pride Round continues on Saturday 11 July, with Bentleigh Football Netball Club welcoming Casey Thunder Football Netball Club to Bentleigh Recreation Reserve for an early morning Women's Division 1 clash.
The first bounce is scheduled for 8:55am, with the match providing another opportunity to celebrate the values of Pride Round – respect, acceptance, belonging and community.
While both clubs will be chasing an important four points, Pride Round is also an opportunity to recognise the positive role community football plays in bringing people together and ensuring everyone feels they have a place within the game.
Pride Round celebrates the idea that football is stronger when everyone feels welcome and valued. It acknowledges the players, coaches, volunteers, officials and supporters who help create club environments built on respect, kindness and a shared love of the game.
By taking part in Pride Round, Bentleigh and Casey Thunder are helping reinforce the message that community football is a place where people can be themselves, build lifelong friendships and enjoy the game in a safe and supportive environment.
As women's football continues to grow, rounds like this highlight the importance of fostering clubs that embrace diversity and encourage participation from all members of the community.
Supporters can look forward to an exciting Women's Division 1 contest as Bentleigh and Casey Thunder kick off a fantastic day of football.
Whether you're cheering on your club or simply showing your support for Pride Round, everyone is encouraged to come along and celebrate the spirit of community football.
