SFNL Trio Selected in Vic Metro Team

Three of the standout performers in the SFNL’s interleague victory over Ellinbank have been rewarded with selection in the 24-man Vic Metro squad for the 2016 AFL Victoria Community Cup.

Dingley’s Chris Horton-Milne, Bentleigh’s Matt Troutbeck and St Pauls’ Jarryd Allan will all don the ‘Big V’ jumper in the clash against Vic Country at Waterview Reserve, Mernda, on Sunday.

This will be Allan’s second appearance for Vic Metro after he and former Dingo Jackson Peet played in the side’s victory over Queensland in in Burpengary last year.

Allan, a midfielder/forward with a booming left leg, is well known through the SFNL for his inside toughness.

Troutbeck was the leading goal kicker in the win over Ellinbank with five majors. A tall forward with a plenty of athletic ability, Troutbeck has this year been listed with the Richmond Tigers VFL team.

Horton-Milne joined the Dingoes this year from Noble Park and has pace to burn. The classy left-footer is a ball magnet and loves to take the game on.

The trio’s selection is a further boost for the SFNL interleague program, headed by coach Ben Lockwood.
