SFNL Finals Wrap

Division 1

Bentleigh are through to the 2016 Division 1 Senior Grand Final after eclipsing Oakleigh District by 37 points in the Preliminary Final at Springvale Reserve on Sunday afternoon. The Demons will meet minor premiers and defending champions Dingley in the premiership decider next week.

The Gambling's Not A Game Division 1 Reserve Grand Final will also be a Dingley/Bentleigh affair after the Dingoes rolled Cheltenham by 65 points in the Preliminary Final.

 

Division 2

The Caulfield Bears have made their first Grand Final in 22 years after pipping Chelsea Heights by the barest of margins in a heart-stopping Preliminary Final at Jack Barker Oval on Saturday.

The Port Melbourne Colts reserves join their senior team in a Division 2 Grand Final after beating Highett by 45 point in their Preliminary Final.

 

Division 3

Mount Waverley are Bendigo Bank Dingley Village Division 3 premiers and champions, capping an undefeated season with a drought-breaking 67-point Grand Final victory over Ashwood at Heatherton Recreation Reserve.

Earlier, Hallam gave the undefeated Mount Waverley a real fright in the Division 3 Reserve Grand Final, but the Mountain Lions saw of the challenge to win by 34 points.

 

Under 19

Reigning premiers St Kilda City outclassed a gallant Oakleigh District, running out winners by 64 points in the Preliminary Final at Springvale Reserve on Sunday.

 

Thirds

A dominant second term has seen Skye defeat Dingley by 37 points in their Preliminary Final clash at Jack Barker Oval on Saturday morning.
