SDNA SFNL Partnership Announcement

MEDIA RELEASE:

The Springvale & District Netball Association (SDNA) and The Southern Football Netball League (SFNL) are pleased to announce a joint agreement for 2022 and 2023.

The SDNA Executive have entered a partnership with the SFNL for the SFNL to administer their competitions during this period

The workload required by volunteers to run and manage community sport is increasing and many committees do not have the time or expertise to commit to the operational side of competitions.

The SDNA Committee will still Govern the Association rules and finances as well as the facilities at Rowan Rd Dingley, the representative teams, tournaments, and canteen operations with the Competition Administration work being handled by the SFNL.

The SFNL will manage the appointment of an Administrator dedicated to the SDNA competitions and make available all their resources to assist them.

This collaboration between the two organisations has been forged over the past 10 years.  Outgoing President, Julie Pool, has been involved with SFNL netball since its inception in 2012.

Incoming SDNA Committee, including President Peta Young and Secretary Shannon Fox, see the services that SFNL can provide to be invaluable to the Association.

The SFNL currently run a senior netball competition and sees the opportunity for their member clubs to enter junior teams into the SDNA to help grow netball within the long-standing Association

SFNL CEO Lee Hartman said “We are excited about the partnership for the benefit of all SDNA member clubs and to support the SDNA Committee and the sport of Netball”

The agreement will commence from January 1st 2022
