Endeavour Hills' Rex Ashenden has been awarded AFL Victoria Metro Volunteer of the Year for 2019.
Rex has been at the Falcons since 2011 and is an original founding member in 2010. He was former President 2015-2018, currently still sits on the Committee & also got awarded life membership at Endeavour Hills last Saturday night at the club's presentation night.
As part of the award, Rex was given two tickets to Saturday's AFL Grand Final, featured in the AFL Grand Final parade on Friday and was a special guest of the AFL throughout the weekend, which included hotel in the city for whole time in Melbourne.
The AFL have awarded one Volunteer of the Year winner from each state, with two winners (metro and country) from Victoria.
