The SFL is pleased to release the final fixtures for 2015 (Netball first three rounds only) - see below.
Under 19s
Highlights:
PRIMARY TRIPLE-HEADERS (your club is playing at home against a club that also has an Under 19s team, and the two Under 19s sides play before the Reserves) – 97% of the time.
SECONDARY TRIPLE-HEADERS (your club is playing at home against a club that does not have an Under 19s team, but your Under 19s side still plays at home against an opponent before the Reserves) – 94% of the time.
Every team has nine home games.
Every team plays every other team no less than once and no more than twice.
As always, to achieve a fixture dominated by triple-headers, certain irregularities do exist, including potentially playing the same team twice in a two-three week period etc. Such irregularities are inevitable when a perfectly balanced draw is not achievable.
With the number of clubs entering a Thirds team this season and the primary focus on achieving triple-headers, the Thirds competition has been split in two.
Thirds – Blue (consisting of Thirds teams from Division 1 clubs plus Cerberus)
Highlights:
PRIMARY TRIPLE-HEADERS – 100% of the time.
SECONDARY TRIPLE-HEADERS – 86% of the time.
Every team has no less than seven and no more than eight home games.
Every team plays every other team no less than twice and no more than three times.
Every team has no less than two byes and no more than three byes.
Every team plays every other team at least once at home.
Five of seven teams will play finals football.
Thirds – Red (consisting of Thirds teams from Division 2 and Division 3 clubs)
Highlights:
PRIMARY TRIPLE-HEADERS – 100% of the time.
SECONDARY TRIPLE-HEADERS – 82% of the time.
Every team has nine home games.
Every team plays every other team no less than twice and no more than three times.
Every team plays every other team at least once at home.
Five of eight teams will play finals football.
Again, to achieve a fixture dominated by triple-headers, certain irregularities do exist, including potentially playing the same team twice in a two-three week period etc.
Netball - First three rounds only (subject to grading).
All fixtures will be built in their respective systems over the coming days.
