On the scale of gutsy wins, few would rank higher than Moorabbin’s amazing one-point triumph over perennial Division 3 powerhouse Mt Waverley at Mount’s Mayfield Reserve last Saturday.
Trailing all day, apart from an early period in the first quarter, the Kangaroos, kicking into the wind and with no bench, turned a 14-point three-quarter-time deficit into one of the club’s best wins in years.
In fact, it was the Kangaroos’ first win over the Mountain Lions in 10 years.
