The Doveton Eagles Football Club are pleased to announce the appointment of Corrie Wilson as Senior Coach (playing) for 2016.
Wilson is well known as an elite performer in the SFNL, winning six Doveton Best & Fairests, a League Best & Fairest and captaining the Eagles to the 2013 Division 3 premiership. Add to that two premierships, multiple B&F awards and senior coaching experience with Nyora (EDFL) and it is a football resume impossible to ignore.
Wilson brings a fantastic mix of ideas, experience and a detailed knowledge of their playing group and the Club is confident that his appointment will help them improve as they chase success in 2016 and beyond.
The Club would also like to thank Daniel Macklin for his efforts as Senior Coach in 2015. 'Turbo' did a fantastic job as a first year coach, leading the club through what was an extremely difficult year. Macklin has chosen to step away from a coaching role but will running around again as a player at the Eagles nest in 2016.
