Tomorrow's Community Bank Murrumbeena Division 4 Senior Grand Final between the Hampton Hammers & the Hallam Hawks.
Throughout the season 2024 it became evident very early during the home and away season that these two sides were going to be the teams to beat. And now we have the exciting finale to
the season this promises to be.
Starting with Hallam their return to the SFNL has been nothing short of magnificent, their return of 15 wins and 3 losses throughout the home and away season saw them finish in second spot
just behind today’s opponent in Hampton and were the only side throughout 2024 to defeat the Hammers.
Is that the mental edge that can take them all the way today?
This Hallam side is led beautifully by Joel Danilo who will have his chargers running out on to the ground today full of excitement and the want for blood after their semi final defeat. But also look for the likes of Ryan Dalton, Liam Reid, Beau Gibbs, & Dylan Vanderwert who will see plenty of the footy. But keep an extra eye out for Jack Sharlassian who ripped the heart out of Lyndale last week after his last quarter effort that will echo around the club for years to come.
While for Shannon Grant’s men they have answered every possible call so far in season 2024. With a 17 win and 1 loss record it’s daunting for anyside to come up against. They are now on the door step of writing the wrong from 2023 after South Mornington defeated them in last year’s senior grand final. Coming off the 85 point victory two weeks ago against today’s opponent the Hammers will be fresh into this grand final.
Spearheaded by key forward Madden Griffin who has kicked 91 goals throughout season 2024, can he reach the magical ton? It’ll be mighty hard to do especially in a grand final but he will have help from Levi Robinson who’s kicked 51 goals during season 2024 he will make his presence known.
Daniel Jones, Leo & Henry Grenville, Corey Smith, Jake & Guy Timms are box office players and will have a massive impact on this contest.
It’s a hard game to tip as these sides who throw absolutely everything at one another but it’ll be hard to go past the Hammers who have been the form side all year.
