"The Doveton Eagles Football Club are very pleased to announce that we have appointed Daniel “Turbo” Macklin as senior coach (playing) for season 2015.
Daniel is well known to the SFL, having played 5 seasons with Cheltenham in Division 1 and more recently playing for Sandown, with 3 years as Captain, the last 2 as assistant coach.
Daniel has been a very consistent and high level performer on field, regularly finishing high up in league medal counts, winning the 2012 League best and fairest. This strength, combined with his knowledge gained as a professional in the Fitness industry and his thoughts and passion for the game make him a great asset to the club as we strive to improve and achieve success.
The Club would also like to thank Clint Wilson for his efforts as coach in 2014. Clint did a great job leading the club through its first year in Division 2, setting the foundations for future success. We look forward to seeing Clint running around for the Eagles again in 2015."
