Heatherton finally broke through for its first win in Division Two with a 19-point victory over Springvale Districts at Ross Street.
Former Dandenong livewire forward Matt Van Schajik led the way for the Tunners with a best-afield display that yielded five goals.
Pol Lavery and Cameron Moon excelled for the winners, with Shayne Gibbs and Billymo Rist also prominent, while Matt Stuart was busy with three goals. Brad Dight, Peter Heng and Tristan Potts showed out for the Demons.
