2026 Season Review - Doveton Eagles

Best and Fairest - Josh Johns

Leading Goal Kicker - Josh Johns (32 goals)

The Doveton Eagles’ 2026 season in the Southern Football Netball League Division 4 was a story of rebuilding, improved competitiveness and renewed stability, as the club worked to put a difficult 2025 campaign behind it.

While results remained challenging, the Eagles’ 2026 campaign should be viewed as an important rebuilding year rather than simply judged by their win-loss record. The improvement in player availability, the ability to field two teams consistently and the reduced margins against opposition were meaningful steps forward.

The season also provided encouraging signs for the future, with a larger playing group, emerging young talent and a clearer foundation for continued development. The next challenge will be turning that improved competitiveness into more consistent wins in 2027.

2026 was about restoring stability and establishing the foundations for sustained improvement.
