The Southern Football Netball League is delighted to announce that it has formalised key fixture dates for the 2025 season.
April 5 will see the 2025 season get underway for both the football and the netball seasons. Cheltenham will be looking to make it a threepeat, while Murrumbeena joins the top flight after narrowly missing out on previous seasons. Cheltenham and Dingley will no doubt be up towards the top again in the A1 Division, with everyone still talking about that narrow one point win to the Rosellas on Grand Final Day.
Saturday May 17 will see a competition wide bye weekend, with the return of the Interleague weekend. In 2024, the SFNL welcomed back the Interleague concept and ran away with all the points in a terrific day at RSEA Park against the Riddell District Football Netball League. An opponent for the 2025 season is yet to be finalised.
Saturday July 12 will see Women's football have a standalone round, to allow the competition to embrace Women's Football and get behind the ladies that run out onto the field.
The weekend of August 23 & 24 will again be another big day for the ladies of the Southern Football Netball League as the Netball Grand Finals and Women's Football Grand Finals take place.
Finally, the season will culminate again at RSEA Park in 2025 with the Division 1 Football Grand Finals set to take place on Saturday September 20.
More dates are set to be released at a later date.
