The Southern Football Netball League is pleased to announce the appointment of David Jennings to the role of General Manager – Operations.
David comes to the SFNL from Touch Football Victoria, where he is currently Sports Operations Manager, a position he has held since 2015.
David previously served as Club Development Manager with AFL Northern Territory working with St Mary’s Football, Social and Sporting Club, and brings with him experience in membership and project management, having worked in different roles with YMCA Victoria. He has a Bachelor of Business and Master of Sports Business from Victoria University.
SFNL CEO David Cannizzo said the appointment was an extremely pleasing one for the SFNL.
“The quality of applicants was extremely strong and the selection panel were delighted to appoint David given his forward thinking, experience in sport and professional acumen working in a similar environment and role,” Cannizzo explained.
“The League conducted a thorough recruitment process, and focussed on finding an applicant who understood community sport and the challenges that volunteers face.”
David will officially commence in the position with the SFNL on August 28.
