Jane's Army Fun Run

The Barnes name is a widely-respected one in SFNL circles, but one of their own needs your help as she faces the fight of her life.

Jane Barnes, the niece of SFNL identity and Hall of Fame inductee Stephen Barnes, was diagnosed with leukaemia in March 2016, and as a result was forced to undergo a bone marrow transplant. Unfortunately the leukaemia has returned, and Jane is now taking part in a world-first trial that will involve a treatment plan for the next two years.

The good news is Jane is now in remission, however there are still countless hospital visits and treatments that she still needs to undertake.

A fundraising initiative has recently been established to assist Jane through her ongoing treatment. Jane's Army 5km Fun Run/Walk Event will take place at Boss James Reserve, Hampton, on Sunday 2nd April, and aims to raise vital funds to support Jane, as well as The Alfred Hospital and Maddie Riewoldt's Vision charity.
