Joel Hampton - Highett Football Club

It’s not often a player on the losing team claims this award, but the Bulldogs ruckman was simply unstoppable and almost single-handedly dragged his side across the line. Hampton dominated in the air all day and gave his onballers first use of the footy before going forward in the final term. He looked incredibly dangerous in attack, too, kicking a clutch goal to put his side ahead with just minutes remaining.

Congratulations Joel.

Leader Shooting Star

Bentleigh

Kade Heaphy-Wemyss - Bentleigh Football Club.

Starting with Bentleigh in 2012, Kade has developed as a player and is now a leader of the team. Now in his third season, Kade has been given the opportunity to play some games in the reserves and seniors. Kade is instrumental in the forward line with his accurate kicking for goal and has a high work rate as a high forward pushing up the ground to provide plenty of support around the ground.

Congratulations Kade Heaphy-Wemyss of the Bentleigh Football Club – The Round 9 Leader Shooting Star Nominee
