Zakk Johns (#42 Doveton Eagles) was referred to the Independent Tribunal by the officiating field umpire for using abusive, insulting or obscene language towards or in relation to an umpire during the 1st quarter of the Round 5 Division 3 Senior match between Narre South Saints and Doveton Eagles at Strathaird Reserve on Saturday 8 May 2021. The charge was heard at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Wednesday 12 May. Zakk pleaded guilty and was found guilty, and was suspended for five (5) matches.
