SFNL Stars Earn Vic Metro Selection

Several of the SFNL's biggest stars are set to pull on the Big V jumper in this Sunday's AFL Victoria Community Cup.

SFNL Interleague skipper Danny Ades and East Malvern ruckman Chris Carey - best afield in Southern's Interleague victory over North Central - headline the selections in the Vic Metro team that will take on Vic Country at Ballarat's Mars Stadium.

Dingley speedster Lucas Walmsley and Panthers pair Luke Duffy and Lucas Hall are also certain to line up on Sunday. Cheltenham spearhead Josh Fox was selected in the final squad of 28, but is unlikely to play due to his selection in Coburg's VFL team this weekend.

SFNL Interleague coach Ben Lockwood will also have involvement in the Vic Metro set up as an assistant coach, and will take charge the midfield group.

Their selections are a massive boost for the SFNL Interleague program headed by Lockwood, and a great reward for the sextet given their impressive performances at the AFL Victoria Community Championships back in May.

Congratulations to all selected, and we hope you go well on Sunday!
