SFNL Shortlisted For Netball Victoria Award

Another year of substantial growth in the SFNL Netball competition and the introduction of a number of new netball initiatives has seen the league shortlisted for a prestigious Netball Victoria award.

The SFNL are one of four finalists for the Outstanding Large Association/League of the Year award to be presented at the Netball Victoria Community Awards on Saturday night.

The prestigious accolade rewards Netball Victoria affiliated organisations comprising more than 300 members for their exemplary management and administration practices, as well as better engaging with, supporting and meeting the needs of its members.

SFNL Netball Officer Matt Grimwood, in conjunction with Springvale & District Netball Association (SDNA) President Julie Pool and the entire netball administration team, has done an excellent job running the rapidly growing SFNL Netball competition, which had grown to include 74 teams spread across nine senior and under 19 divisions in 2016. This shortlist is further recognition of the team's outstanding efforts this season.

The Melbourne East Netball Association, Ballarat Netball Association and Sale Netball Association are also in the running for the award.

Well done to the SFNL/SDNA team for their fantastic work in 2016 and we wish them the very best of luck on Saturday!
