SFNL NETBALLERS TO BE PROUD OF ACHIEVEMENTS

The SFNL Mother’s day round saw the netballers and supporters all come together to raise funds for Cure for Brain Cancer Foundation (CBCF).

Players had purple ribbons in their hair, faces were painted and Narre South Saints FNC wore purple tutus, hats and “wings”.

The combined efforts saw the SFNL Netball Community raise $3281.95 overall.

Greg Miller and Co, Cheltenham FNC, conducted a raffle with John Field, Lyndhurst FNC, winning the prize of $300 voucher to Squires Loft Cheltenham.

Sophie O’Shea, Caulfield Bears FNC, co-ordinated a combined club Bake Sale with all types of sweet delights, cakes, slices and chockies selling off the table in quick time.  Assistants on the sales were Yvonne McMillan, Heatherton FNC, and Mel Starr, St Kilda City FNC.

The winner of the “Guess the Number of Jelly Beans in the Jar” was Barb Traeger – Guess of 1560, Actual 1475.

The rain held off for the day and we had some terrific results come through on the day.  There were 11 games with the score less than 5 goals between opponents and 2 drawn matches.

Chris Thomas from Frankie Photography was there to capture some of the action on the day.
