The SFNL advises that the Match Review Panel (MRP) and Independent Tribunal have completed their review of the weekend’s football:



Set Penalties


Daniel Kirby #27 of St Kilda City was sighted by the MRP for engaging in rough conduct with Yianni Pasialis #5 of Highett during the 2nd quarter of the Round 6 Division 1 Senior Match between St Kilda City and Highett at the Peanut Farm Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. Daniel was offered a two (2) match set penalty which was accepted.


Pol Lavery #6 of Heatherton was sighted by the MRP for striking Michael Ashman #45 of Hampton during the 3rd quarter of the Round 7 Division 2 Senior Match between Heatherton and Hampton at Ross Street Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. Pol was offered a two (2) match set penalty which was accepted.


Mark Jamieson #22 of East Brighton was reported by the officiating field umpire for engaging in rough conduct with Tom Wilkinson #24 of Springvale Districts during the 2nd quarter of the Round 7 Division 2 Senior Match between Springvale Districts and East Brighton at Springvale Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. Mark was offered a one (1) match set penalty which was accepted.


Aaron Thomas #25 of Cheltenham was reported by the officiating boundary umpire for striking Samuel Mitchell #12 of Port Melbourne Colts during the 3rd quarter of the Round 6 Division 1 Reserve Match between Pot Melbourne Colts and Cheltenham at JL Murphy Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. Aaron was offered a two (2) match set penalty which was accepted.


Samuel Mitchell #12 of Port Melbourne Colts was reported by the officiating boundary umpire for striking Aaron Thomas #25 of Cheltenham during the 3rd quarter of the Round 6 Division 1 Reserve Match between Pot Melbourne Colts and Cheltenham at JL Murphy Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. Samuel was offered a two (2) match set penalty which was accepted.


James Boyle #8 of Oakleigh District was reported by the officiating field umpire for striking Charlie Amoore #36 of Dingley during the 2nd quarter of the Round 6 Under 19 Match between Dingley and Oakleigh District at Souter Oval on Saturday 25 May 2019. James was offered a two (2) match set penalty which was accepted.


Regan Peddle #13 of Oakleigh District was reported by the officiating field umpire for using abusive and insulting language towards an umpire during the 4th quarter of the Round 6 Under 19 Match between Dingley and Oakleigh District at Souter Oval on Saturday 25 May 2019. Regan was offered a two (2) match set penalty which was accepted.



Tribunal Hearing 201918


Frederick Jenkins #2 of Caulfield was sighted by the MRP for engaging in rough conduct with Jackson Chapman #57 of Skye during the Round 7 Division 2 Senior Match between Caulfield and Skye at Koornang Park Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. The MRP offered Frederick a set penalty of two (2) matches. Frederick contested the charge at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 28 May 2019 and pleaded not-guilty and was found not-guilty. Frederick received no suspension and is free to play.



Tribunal Hearing 201919


Glenn Morrison #45 of Hampton Park was reported by the officiating field and officiating boundary umpire for head-butting Adrian Kartner of Endeavour Hills during the Round 7 Division 3 Reserve Match between Hampton Park and Endeavour Hills at Robert Booth Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. Glenn pleaded not-guilty at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 28 May 2019 and was found guilty and received a one (1) match suspension.



Tribunal Hearing 201920


Simon Black #2 of Oakleigh District was sighted by the MRP for engaging in rough conduct with Nathan Gray #15 of East Malvern during the Round 7 Division 1 Senior Match between East Malvern and Oakleigh District at Dunlop Reserve on Saturday 25 May 2019. The MRP offered Simon a set penalty of two (2) matches. Simon contested the charge at the Independent Tribunal on the evening of Tuesday 28 May 2019 and pleased not-guilty and was found guilty and received a two (2) match suspension.
