SFNL Announces New On-field Apparel Partner

The Southern Football Netball League has appointed Blackchrome Sportswear as its new exclusive football on-field apparel supplier.

Following a recent football on-field apparel tender process, the SFNL received tender submissions from 15 apparel suppliers and shortlisted to what they considered to be the top three suppliers, based on the areas of commercial value, delivery, quality and service.

Blackchrome Sportswear were chosen after a thorough assessment of their business model and discussions with some of their existing customers.

A leading sports clothing manufacturer who have over 10 years’ experience in the industry, the SFNL are confident Blackchrome’s delivery times, product quality and service will be outstanding.

Managing their own facility in Sri Lanka, they have the ability to control every step of the manufacturing process leading to a fantastic turnaround time of four weeks from artwork sign-off.

Blackchrome hold licenses to supply apparel to some of the biggest sporting associations in Australia, including AFL Queensland, AFL NT, WA Country Football League, WA Amateurs, NSW Rugby League and the Victorian Basketball Association.

They have also partnered with Sherrin to manufacture under the Sherrin brand, meaning it will be displayed on all SFNL on-field apparel.

SFNL CEO David Cannizzo said the new partnership with Blackchrome Sportswear will be of great benefit to both the League and its clubs.

“The SFNL are delighted to partner with Blackchrome Sportswear who we believe will be impressive with their delivery times, service and quality of product they provide for our clubs,” Cannizzo said.

“Pleasingly, there will not be any price increases to on-field apparel for clubs and in addition all existing club apparel is being replicated by Blackchrome Sportswear where free samples are being provided for approval.”

National Business Manager Troy Beard said that Blackchrome were looking forward to entering into a partnership with a football competition with such a massive footprint in Melbourne’s south.

“Blackchrome Sportswear is proud to be a part of the SFNL for 2016 and beyond,” Beard said.

“We have been in the on and off field sports apparel business for 12 years and are excited to be manufacturing for the south’s premier football league.”

As part of the new arrangement, Blackchrome are offering all SFNL clubs a chance to win a trip for two to Sri Lanka, including flights, four days’ accommodation in Colombo and a tour of the Sherrin/Blackchrome manufacturing facility.

Simply by ordering $2000 of off-field gear between now and July 2016, your club will automatically be entered into the draw to win this one-in-a-lifetime prize.
