The SFNL are now accepting nominations for the 2017 inductees into the SFNL Hall of Fame.
Last year more than 130 people flocked to Woodlands Golf Club to witness six outstanding men and women join the 22 inaugural inductees into the SFNL Hall of Fame. The 2016 inductees – Kinglsey Ellis, Mark Seymour, Margaret Torpy, Ken Shaw, Garry Matlock and David Luttrell – were honoured for their tremendous contributions to the SFNL and its member clubs in capacities as players, coaches, umpires, administrators and volunteers.
Nominations are able to be made to the Hall of Fame sub-committee by SFNL board members, SFNL administration, SFNL member clubs and members of the public. The criteria details that nominees must have demonstrated attributes including longevity, quality of performance, integrity, sportsmanship, good character and promoted the values of the SFNL or its forerunners, the FFL, ESCFA and SESFL.
Up to six inductees may be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2017, with the inductees to be announced mid-year. A formal Hall of Fame event will follow shortly after to celebrate their induction.

In addition, SFNL clubs are also invited to submit nominations for SFNL Life Membership, Outstanding Achievement and Distinguished Service awards. As per the Hall of Fame last year, any recipients of these honours will also be invited and recognised at the event. The criteria for SFNL Life Membership, Outstanding Achievement and Distinguished Service can be found below.
