Player Points Policy

Following a substantial investigation, the Southern Football Netball League can confirm that two clubs have been sanctioned for breaching the Player Points Policy during the 2018 season.

The decision of a panel of the SFNL Board is that both East Malvern and St Kilda City have each been fined $2000, with $1,000 suspended based on no further breaches in 2018.

In addition, the Division 1 Senior - Round 4 match scores of both teams will be annulled. The match scores will be altered to now show that Cheltenham defeated East Malvern 44-0 and Bentleigh defeated St Kilda City 55-0. The league ladder will be altered to reflect these changes.

We acknowledge that the clubs retain the right to appeal to AFL Victoria; but that concludes the matter from an SFNL perspective.
