Patrick's Placement at SFNL

The Southern Football Netball League have had the pleasure of Patrick Schreuder joining us for the past two weeks on a work placement.

Patrick came to us from Holmesglen on South Road, Moorabbin where he attends full-time and we are pleased to have been able to create this relationship that allowed Patrick to work in the sports industry for two weeks with SFNL.

SFNL CEO Mike Palmer said, “it has been an absolute pleasure to have Patrick on board and he has been assisting us with a range of projects. Patrick’s passion for football and particularly his Saints have seen him throw himself into things at Keys Road and bring a positive attitude to the workplace.”

Patrick said has thoroughly enjoyed his time with the SFNL.

“I am doing work placement with the Southern Football League and I love doing work with them and it has been good for me because I love footy. I went and helped out at Sandown Football Netball Club with kids that have a disability and in the office, I did a work book on PowerPoint of the clubs’ history," he explained.

"I also went to Monash Children's Hospital with a Collingwood player. It really boosted the kids’ spirits and they loved it.”

The St Kilda Football Club came to the party as well by providing a signed 2018 jumper as a thank you for Patrick’s work and also in support of the program.

“We have been thrilled to have Patrick with us and we look forward to staying in touch with him in the future as he looks to build his career,” Palmer said.
