Frankston Dolphins Seek Coaching Applicants

Frankston Dolphins Football Netball Club is seeking applications for playing or non-playing Senior Assistant Coaching roles, as well as a Reserves/Development coach.

Frankston Dolphins FNC is a newly established club that has achieved considerable success, with all senior teams featuring in finals in our first two years of competition within the Southern Football Netball League (SFNL) and our Reserves team having secured the Premiership in season 2019.

Our affiliated junior club has in excess of 20 teams where players (both girls and boys) are pushing through to the senior ranks and we are seeking applicants who are committed to continuing the strong culture and success we have established within the club and are passionate about the ongoing development of players, with an emphasis on building from within.

Working with our Senior Coach Chris Lacey, the successful applicant for the Assistant Coaching position will have a strong knowledge of today’s game and demonstrate excellent communication skills.

The applicant will be expected to work with all senior players with the role supporting the planning and execution of training and input into team selection. Game day responsibilities include line management, rotation management, game plan execution, providing input to the Senior Coach and providing feedback to the players.

The applicant will also be an active member of the Match Committee and will form part of a cohesive Coaching Staff.

For the position of Reserves/Development Coach, the successful applicant will have a strong knowledge of today’s game and demonstrate excellent communication skills. The applicant will be expected to work with all senior players, however primary responsibility will be Reserves team match day management and coaching.

In addition, there is a requirement for attendance on all training days, to assist with drills, individual coaching and player development and weekly analysis.

The applicant will also be an active member of the Match Committee and will form part of a cohesive Coaching Staff.

Prior experience in coaching is desirable for both roles, however this is also an exciting opportunity for a current/recent player with suited skill set to begin a coaching career. You are expected to have attained (or will attain) AFL Victoria Level 1 Coaching Accreditation.
