Former SFNL GM Operations Appointed WRFL CEO

Former SFNL General Manager Operations Matt Duck has just been announced as the new CEO of the Western Region Football League.

Duck had been a wonderful asset to the SFNL since joining the League in early 2011, overseeing a number of strategic objectives, including the launch of the SFNL Netball competition and the formation of start-up clubs in Endeavour Hills, Hallam and Carrum Patterson Lakes.

He spent four seasons in the role before finishing up in May 2015 to take up a position as CEO of Diving Victoria, while also servingĀ as honorary Secretary of the Caulfield Bears for the 2016 season.

Duck replaces the retiring Bob Tregear as head of the WRFL and will formally get his feet under the desk next month.

From all of us at the SFNL, we are thrilled to see Ducky take the next step in his blossoming career and we wish him all the very best in his new role.
